The 80,000-sf center is at the southeast quadrant of Interstate 494 and France Avenue in the city, and will bring together three top Twin Cities orthopaedic groups--Park Nicollet Health Services, The Orthopaedic Center and the University of Minnesota Physicians. The $35 million, state-of-the-art center will offer patients access to orthopaedic physician specialists, diagnostic imagery, prosthesis services, six operating suites, physical therapy services and a pharmacy.
The facility is scheduled to be in operation by August 2004.
United Properties Healthcare Real Estate Group will manage design and construction of The Orthopaedic Center and provide property management services to the clinic when it is operational. The group specializes in real estate services for healthcare organizations, including tenant representation and lease administration, project management, and services in development, construction, brokerage property management and investment.
Park Nicollet Health Services will be the master tenant at the new center.
"We are using the collective expertise of all our physicians to deliver a new model for orthopaedics care that is unique in the country," says Dr. Jeffrey Husband, Orthopaedics department chair at Park Nicollet Clinic. Park Nicollet's physician partners in the venture are The Orthopaedic Center, a sports medicine-focused physician group working with the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, Wild and Timberwolves, and orthopaedic specialists from University of Minnesota Physicians.
The three physician practice groups will share the center's diagnostic, treatment and surgical facilities.
United Properties Healthcare Real Estate Group is a division of United Properties, a full-service commercial real estate company with 400 employees and 26.5 million sf of office, industrial, medical, retail and multi-family properties under management.
