Two of the buildings are approximately 22,000 sf each, and the third is a 16,000-sf, multi-tenant building, with spaces ranging from 800 sf to 4,000 sf, for a total of 60,000 sf. The complex is located at 2150 Broadway.
Formerly occupied by HRS, the complex had been vacant since 1998. In February 2000, Deutsche Bank selected Grubb & Ellis|VIP to sell or lease the complex. In 2001, brokers Gary Tasman and Scott Robertson sold a fourth building of about 5,000 sf on Seago Lane, adjacent to Broadway, to a local attorney for $200,000.
Tasman and Robertson also negotiated the sale to Word of Life.
When the remaining 60,000 sf are renovated, the property will include a sanctuary for Sunday worship services, administrative offices and space for other church-related uses, according to Word of Life pastor Gaspar Anastasi. The complex also will house the headquarters for the organization's 16 churches and Christian outreach programs worldwide. The headquarters was based in New York City since 1960.
