Mike Rago, VP and marketing director for West Los Angeles-based Beitler, tells GlobeSt.com that the switch brings Beitler an affiliation with greater breadth and depth. "One of the differences between the old and the new affiliations is that we picked up a few more major cities in terms of coverage, including Denver, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Austin, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Miami and Portland," Rago says. "That's new exposure for us." In addition, Rago notes, the new affiliation fits more with Beitler's areas of specialization and its expertise in investment sales in all commercial product types. "We are full-service, and so is TCN," he explains.

H. Ross Ford, president of TCN Worldwide, cites Beitler's five offices in Southern California and its "expertise across all disciplines," ranging from corporate relocations and investment sales to development. Beitler is headed by Barry Beitler, president of the firm, who said in the affiliation announcement that joining TCN "will allow our professionals to strategically partner with other market experts to better serve their clients' real estate needs on a national and international basis." Beitler counts more than 100 professionals among its ranks, according to the announcement.

TCN Worldwide is one of a number of consortiums of independent commercial real estate firms that have grown in recent years as independent local and regional firms have sought affiliations to strengthen their national and international capabilities. TCN says its members tally approximately $10.5 billion in annual transactions and more than 80 million sf of space under management. Formed in 1989, TCN is composed of 44 independent commercial real estate service firms in more than 200 markets worldwide with more than 1,200 brokers and salespeople in both primary and secondary markets throughout the world.
