Robert Erickson of Cushman & Wakefield, who represented the tenants, says the new Van Nuys office at Tri Center Plaza, located at 5990 Sepulveda Blvd., will be the 104-year-old firm's second in California. The company, which also has offices in New Jersey, Tennessee and Florida, is expected to take occupancy in November. In addition to providing all types of business and personal insurance, DeWitt Stern Group is a source for specialty lines of insurance for antiquarian book dealers, the entertainment and media industries, and others.

Tri-Center Plaza is a six-story, 142,000-sf, Class A office building visible from both the 405 and 101 Freeways. The building is owned by Lowe Enterprises, which acquired it in late 1999. With the addition of DeWitt Stern, the building is 90% leased.

Matt Heyn and Nancy Stark of CB Richard Ellis represented the landlord.
