The retailer, headquartered in Menomonee Falls, will open 10 stores in Phoenix, two in Tucson and one in Flagstaff as part of its expansion into the Western US. The stores will bring nearly 2,000 jobs to the state.
The company, which last year posted sales of $9.1 billion, will make its debut in Nevada next month with three stores in the Las Vegas area. A distribution center in California opened earlier this year.
The 88,000-sf prototype stores will be located at 1611 N. Dysart Rd. in Avondale; 9220 W. Northern Ave. in Peoria; 5408 W. Bell Rd. in Glendale; 8680 E Raintree Dr. in Scottsdale; 1430 S. Arizona Ave. in Chandler; and 1121 E. Baseline Rd. and 1497 E. Williams Field Rd. in Gilbert in addition to stores at 21001 N. Tatum Blvd., 4637 E. Chandler Blvd. and 17232 N. 19th Ave. in Phoenix.
In Tucson, Kohl's stores will be located at 199 N. Pantano Rd. and 5850 W. Arizona Pavilions Dr. while Flagstaff's store will be situated at 500 W. Forest Meadow St.
