Hickcox was former executive vice president of Denro (Arizona) Inc. of Phoenix, where he was responsible for all commercial acquisitions for California and Arizona. A member of the Arizona Bar Association, he also served as vice president and general counsel of the Barclay Group of Scottsdale, where his duties included acquisitions and tenant transactions along with providing legal counsel during the development process. Prior to joining Donahue Schriber, Hickcox served as president and co-owner of the Feldman-Hickcox Co., a locally based real estate investment, management and development firm as well as general counsel for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate in Phoenix. He also practiced civil and general business law for Gallagher & Kenned and Maupin & Wilson, both in Phoenix, and served as acquisitions director and general counsel for the Colorado Springs-based real estate investment, management and development firm, the Schuck Corp.
A former captain of the 1968 US Olympic men's swimming team,Hickcox won three Olympic gold medals and one Olympic silver medal for swimming along with numerous world, American and NCAA swim records, including World Swimmer of the Year for 1968.
