The 10,000-sf lab in Bloomfield Hills is being built for Wisconsin-based Marshfield Laboratories and will be located in the lower level of the new Oakland Veterinary Referral Services animal hospital, another Sachse Construction project.
The facility at Telegraph and Orchard Lake roads is the largest small animal hospital under construction in the country today, says John Hamburger, a VP at Sachse Construction.
The lab will provide a full range of diagnostic services for veterinarians throughout Oakland County when it opens in first quarter 2004, Hamburger says.
Sachse Construction is a provider of premium commercial construction and design/build services throughout Michigan and the US.
Recent projects include The Corner bar at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, the renovation of Detroit's historic Dime Building, a 107-room Residence Inn in Novi and hundreds of high-end retail stores at the Somerset Collection in Troy and in other upscale malls throughout the country. The company was founded in 1991.
