JOL now occupies nearly 23,000 of the building's 300,000 sf. Craig McKenna and Tracci Rowe, both of Studley's local office, brokered the $3 million lease with landlord Arden Realty Inc., which represented itself.
Rowe says JOL has been growing steadily but its workspace in Marina del Rey was inefficient, explaining that the new layout houses JOL's entire staff on two floors connected by a private elevator and a stairwell, facilitating intra-office communications. In addition, the new location and surrounding campus offer more of the modern amenities that tenants seek today, Rowe says.
Other notable tenants at the center include Computer Associates, Futuredontics Inc. Haight, Brown & Bonesteel, Pepperdine University, Qantas Airways, Sun Microsystems and Univision Communications.
JOL Management Co. publishes The Journal of Longevity, a trade magazine featuring medical research reviews in preventive medicine fields. The company also manages Gero-Vita International, which produces nutritional supplements.
