The 365,000-sf building is located in the heart of the city's financial district and is adjacent to Faneuil Hall Marketplace across from the Marriott Long Wharf. It is nearly fully leased with about 50,000 sf of space available.
Marketplace Center is the local headquarters for the Parthenon Group. The firm resides on the 14th, 15th and 16th floors of the building. Property owner Sullivan Properties was represented in the lease renewal deal by John P. Barry, Richard M. Bradbury and Shannon D. Herold of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners. The Parthenon Group was represented by CB Richard Ellis.
Barry notes that the building's location, amenities and views make it appealing to "practically every organization seeking a Boston presence." He adds that "the future of the building will improve tremendously with the submerging of the Central Artery next year."
