The new Surgery Center will further streamline care for surgical patients in one convenient location and include an additional operating room, procedure room, seven additional recovery rooms, a private oncology suite, a physician/patient consultation area, a family waiting room with a children's play area and a drop-off circle drive entrance with nearby parking.

"In addition to expanding the facility, we're-also growing our services," says Peter Loes, MD, chief of staff, Buffalo Hospital. "The most recent additions include expanded services in orthopedics, urology and cardiology."

Jordan Architects is doing the design work on the project, while Helgeson Construction Services is doing the construction. The expansion project is part of the hospital's $20 million growth plan that began in 2001.

Buffalo Hospital, part of Allina Hospitals & Clinics, is a non-profit regional medical center that serves the communities in and around Wright County, MN.
