"When we first became aware of this facility and its various physical attributes, our initial response was how pleased we were that the building is in the city of Chicago," says Harvey Camins of Camins Tomasz Kritt and Merlin Funding. "This building is in urban, industrial Chicago but meets modern warehousing and distribution demands."
Besides being upgraded for modern industrial use, the building is within a short driving distance of the Eisenhower and Kennedy expressways, less than six miles from Downtown and a mile north of the Brach & Brock Confectionary Co. plant that likely will be repositioned or redeveloped by its next owner.
"This acquisition is the epitome of being the right facility in the right location," says Pete Harmon of West Dundee-based ML Realty Partners.
