The official opening of the parking garage, which comes 14 months after its groundbreaking, adds 25% more parking space to the original 4,100 parking space station. "With the addition of 1,000 parking spaces at Franconia-Springfield, this provides significant benefits to our customers who use the station every day, and it will help alleviate traffic congestion in the Franconia area," says Metro Board of Directors member Katherine K. Hanley.
