"Today, there are 15,000 people who call Green Valley Ranch home," says Bob Sanderman, president of Oakwood Homes, the developer of Green Valley Ranch. "For too long, residents have had to drive about three miles to reach the closest shopping facilities," he adds.
Oakwood Homes, in partnership with Miller Weingarten Realty, began working with King Soopers nearly two years ago on the project. King Soopers broke ground about eight months ago.
"This new King Soopers has everything," Sanderman says. "It offers a deli, a U.S. Bank branch inside, one-hour photo, a full video rental department and Kings Soopers' newest feature: a drive-through pharmacy. It is very state-of-the-art."
The King Soopers is on the northeast corner of Tower Road and East 48th Avenue. It is expected to employ about 100 people. Oakwood Homes predicts Green Valley Ranch will have 50,000 residents when the development is fully built out.
