The new site is targeted at real estate brokers, developers and corporate and agribusiness site selectors interested in selling or purchasing land for development, investment or other purposes. A limited list of available properties is free. Membership is required to access all land availabilities and/or to expose listings on LoopNetLand.com or to all 400,000 LoopNet members.
The company notes that despite the new Web site, land listings will continue to be a part of the core LoopNet.com listing service, which holds more than $125 billion of property listed for sale and 2.2 billion sf of space for lease. LoopNet's LoopLink product powers the Web sites of more than 1,200 commercial real estate organizations.
