Louis Tomaselli of the Anaheim Metro office of Voit notes that Layton-Belling acquired the property from Catellus in the summer of 2002 and enlisted Voit to market the building. Tomaselli and Mitch Zehner, also of the Anaheim Metro office, represented Layton-Belling both in the 2002 sale and in the lease with Office Furniture Rental. He says the space has filled despite the weak leasing market over the past several years.
Office Furniture Rental plans to use its new location as a warehouse and distribution center. Ryan Hawkins and Ken Ward of Staubach represented the furniture firm in the transaction.
The other two leases signed earlier this year include an 83,000-sf lease with clothing company Staton Wholesale and a 63,000-sf deal with Cor-O-Van Moving and Storage.
