Middlebrook Square has occupied its 8.5-acre spot on Scenery Dr. off Rte. 355 since its development just over 30 years ago. Once work wraps up on the property, residents will have use of revitalized living spaces, as well as a new 3,700-sf community center, and a double-size playground. This complete upgrade endeavor will be, undoubtedly, the first of many for HOC.
"There is a strong demand for all kinds of affordable housing in Montgomery County, not just public housing," HOC's Susan Krimer Yancy explains to GlobeSt.com. "We have 10,000 on our waiting list for affordable housing."
