Prudential Property Investment Managers (PruPim) and Eastleigh council plumped for the developer after they outlined plans for an eight-screen multiplex cinema, a casino or bingo hall, restaurants, bars and a hotel.
The development will be sites on the Wells Place car park, next to the Prudential-owned Swan Shopping Centre.
More detailed plans will be submitted to Eastleigh Council early next summer. Aedas is the architect and DTZ advised Cordwell.
