The ranking pushes the luxury resort, located at 5402 E. Lincoln Drive in Paradise Valley, to the highest level of Marriott properties and makes it the second resort in Arizona to wear the JW Marriott label. The JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in North Phoenix is Marriott's only other property to hold the prestigious ranking.
The new ranking will add a subtle extra layer of luxury to the 452-room resort, which is tucked at the base of Camelback Mountain on 125 acres of Sonoran Desert land. Among the added features will down comforters, complimentary bottled water and added amenity packages. The resort also features a 36-hole championship golf course and a 27,000-sf spa, which is one of the largest spas in the Southwest.
