The combined real estate assets enable Exclusive Resorts to offer its members access to a portfolio that encompasses 32 multi-million-dollar residences in 16 destinations, from Aspen to Europe and Asia. Since the company acquired its first resort property in February 2003, Exclusive Resorts has has established itself in the sector.

"The benefit of these acquisitions was not incremental but rather exponential," says Brad Handler, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Exclusive Resorts. "And as circumstances warrant, we will continue to make strategic acquisitions that provide similar benefits and scalability. These acquisitions expand our portfolio and increase our membership base in an extremely efficient manner," adds Handler, who was the first attorney for eBay.

The Odyssey Club, which was in the midst of its pre-launch rollout, planned to offer members unlimited access to a collection of big-ticket homes and villas in posh destinations, entree to the various travel partners and service provided by a network of concierges.The club, formed this year, was created by John A. Pritzker, who served as chairman, and by Thomas M. Gottlieb, who served as CEO. Pritzker's father, Jay, co-founded the Hyatt hotel chain and John Pritzker was a former executive with Hyatt.

Andrew Harper, an authority on upscale travel and the author of the acclaimed Hideaway Report, served as principal advisor to Odyssey.

Odyssey members were given the option of converting their Odyssey Club membership reservations into Exclusive Resorts memberships on a favorable basis, or having their membership reservation fees refunded.

Mirabella Estates pioneered an equity-based club model for luxury residences. It offered its limited partners access to a portfolio of luxury residences in Colorado, Hawaii and New York. Exclusive Resorts acquired certain assets of Mirabella Estates, including a number of residences in Telluride and Snowmass, CO. Jason Lippman, former CEO of Mirabella Estates, becomes VP of business development at Exclusive Resorts.
