Rossini Joins Morse Co.

Rossini says he was talking with brokerage houses, large and small, but "at the end of the day, my heart was here." He says he was "looking for a bigger challenge" at a time in his life that's well suited to a move personally and even more so professionally since "a number of my properties had been sold."

The Jones Lang LaSalle departure coincided with the firm's hiring of Dale Ray as a vice president and senior leasing broker from locally based Capstar Real Estate Services, but reportedly didn't trigger the exit. A Jones Lang LaSalle spokeswoman says the firm does not comment on personnel departures.

Rossini and Scott Morse, longtime friends, and principal, Scott Jessen, will now strategize to "chart some new paths," the firm's founder tells GlobeSt.com. Going forward, every deal being worked in the six-broker office will have a principal on the team. "What you (a client) may give up in name recognition, you will gain in the real experience in the trenches," Morse says of the plan with a top management trio of more than 60 years' experience.

Morse says he and Rossini talked "off and on for quite awhile" before the deal closed to add the first principal since 1994. Morse says he'd like to add two more senior-level professionals to the 16-year-old firm, but "we don't have a pressing need to add people just for the sake of adding people." In Rossini's case, his experience brings "a real nice blend of complementary skill sets that we feel is going to benefit our platform and our clients," Morse emphasizes.

Rossini's experience crisscrosses 40 markets, where he's leased more than 3.5 million sf of office and industrial product for national developers, owners and institutional lenders. He has represented corporate clients with 20,000-sf to 250,000-sf needs. And, he says, he's brought those contacts with him to the Morse Co.
