This is one division of Comcast Corp., one of the world's leading telecommunications companies. It is also based here and serves 21 million customers in 41 states.
Comcast's current corporate headquarters is at Centre Square, the 1.8-million-sf office complex at 15th and Market streets, owned by Newton, MA-based HRPT Properties. Comcast is one of the several major Center City tenants with a lease up for renewal. CB Richard Ellis was just named exclusive leading agent for Centre Square.
Meanwhile, in a separate transaction, PIDC sells a 10-acre parcel to Antonio Origlio, Inc., a locally based wholesale beer distributorship founded here in 1933. The parcel is on Meeting House Road in the Byberry East Industrial Park, adjacent to Origlio's existing 264,000 sf distribution facility. Origlio will expand by an additional 180,000 sf. It wholesales such leading brands as Coors, Rolling Rock, Corona, Heineken, Guinness and Yuengling and employs more than 200. It has outgrown three previous facilities.
