Dilbeck, who had been at the helm of the Bureau for 10 years, didn't attend and no bureau money was spent.
"EFL Associates will assist the selection committee with the application and resume review process," says Scott Bemis, 2004 chairman of the bureau and a member of the selection team. "EFL brings a wealth of experience to help ensure that we select the best person to lead the Bureau in the coming years."
A spokeswoman for the bureau tells GlobeSt.com that it is too early to determine how much the search for Dilbeck's replacement will cost.
Founded in 1978, Kansas City, MO-based EFL conducts between 80 to 100 executive searches each year. They have conducted executive searches for other convention bureaus, including the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Bureau. EFL Associates has offices in Denver, Kansas City and Chicago.
Mary Hobson, SVP of the Denver office for EFL, will head the search. "We hope to fill the presidency of the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau quickly and are confident that EFL Associates can help the selection committee maintain an expedient timeline," says Pat Grant, President of the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo and chairman of the Selection Committee.
