Aventis Pasteur, based in Lyon, France, is the vaccine-producing arm of Aventis, a global pharmaceutical giant based in Strasbourg, France, and the largest international company devoted solely to vaccines. The new office building will be located at Aventis Pasteur USA's headquarters, which occupies a 174-acre campus here, which is south of Scranton, PA.
Groundbreaking for the facility is targeted for early this year, and occupancy is scheduled for June 2005. Site construction to the administrative building will include a new high-volume site entrance and an enclosed connector to the company's recently completed R2L vaccine development building. Jon Reed, Aventis Pasteur's director of site services, says he interviewed several companies before selecting Gale on the basis of "its excellent record of building high-quality office buildings."
Gale has the capacity to integrate investment, leasing/advisory services, construction, development, and management services. Its global portfolio of office space and other properties is in excess of 50 million sf worldwide. It has regional offices in New York, Boston, California, the UK and South Korea, and its client roster in the US and abroad includes GlaxoSmithKline, UPS, Pfizer, General Motors and Siemens.
