Frank Boutin, director of health-care construction for locally based Summit Builders, tells GlobeSt.com that the recently completed complex on the medical provider's campus at the northeast corner of the Black Canyon Freeway Northbound Frontage Road and Las Palmaritas Drive in Phoenix features two separate buildings connected by a common lobby.
The buildings, designed by Orcutt/Winslow Partnership of Phoenix and constructed by Summit Builders, house a support center for the tenant's billing operations along with a call center and employee fitness facility. "It's one of those projects you wish you could repeat because everyone worked together to get it done," Boutin says of the cooperation between the builder, architect and health-care provider. BCBSAZ started moving in several weeks ago into the complex, which took about eight months to complete.
