Terms of the lease were not disclosed, but the move-in will require a major overhaul of the existing building, according to Metro Commercial Real Estate Inc. president Daniel J. Hughes, whose company is managing all aspects of the interior demolition of the building and subsequent renovation. There will be some 12,000 sf of retail space, and the rest of the space will be occupied by warehouse, freight conveyor, loading dock and new office space.
USA Baby is relocating and expanding from its current location in nearby Marlton, NJ, and the new store is expected to be completed this spring. "This relocation is the result of a strong interplay between leasing and construction," according to Hughes. "A leasing deal only makes sense when the full cost and implications of construction are factored into the equation."
