The land plan calls for construction of Doggie Zen Den Inc., a high-end day-care facility led by a pair of local businesswomen. Construction will begin in the coming months on a 5,000-sf to 7,000-sf freestanding building abutting a still for-sale hard corner just south of Texas 121, Eric Berlin of Venture Commercial in Dallas tells GlobeSt.com, who along with Venture's Clay Mote brokered the transaction for buyer and seller.

The Doggie Zen Den will neighbor a Qwik Industries Lube Center, dry cleaners and AT&T Wireless store. Berlin says the startup venture, projected to deliver in the fall, will be the first of its type for the far north Dallas suburb.
