"Lord & Taylor is vacating the two-story building and Hecht's is moving into one story of it," May Department Stores' Sharon Bateman tells GlobeSt.com. The company, not the mall owner, owns the store, so there are no leasing issues involved, although Bateman notes that May Department Stores has not yet decided what it will do with the 60,000 sf of space on the remaining floor. The building will undergo remodeling and reopen to visitors as a Hecht's Home Store in the spring of 2005.
