Cotrell, who formerly was a director at Summit Commercial in El Segundo, succeeds Kathy Delgado, who has left Kilroy after 15 years to establish her own interior design firm. Before joining Kilroy, 15-year industry veteran Cotrell was responsible for the leasing and marketing of a 2.6-million-sf portfolio of real estate in California and Arizona for Summit. Before that he was a VP with Shuwa Investments Corp. He has also held positions with Insignia Commercial Group, Premisys Real Estate Services, and Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate Services.

The 3.6 million sf of Kilroy space that Cotrell will be responsible for is about 81.3% occupied. It is part of a Kilroy portfolio that includes 7.3 million sf of office space and 4.9 million sf of industrial space. Among the properties in the Los Angeles portion of the portfolio are the 380,000-sf Westside Media Center at Olympic and Bundy in Los Angeles, the 1-million-sf Kilroy Center Long Beach, and 909 and 999 N. Sepulveda Blvd., a 375,000-sf office campus in Los Angeles.
