Sunstone also announced key members of the management team for the new hotel scheduled to open this summer. In addition to Trotter, it hired Jennifer Gahery as director of sales and Susan Stiff as director of public relations.
Gaherty developed her hotel sales skills in various positions throughout the Midwest and Pacific Northwest, most recently at the Hotel Monaco in Seattle where she held the position of director of sales. Gaherty began her career at the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau in Peoria, IL.
Stiff is a 20-year hospitality industry veteran and most recently served as director of public relations for Denver and Kansas City-area Starwood, Westin, Sheraton and Four Points by Sheraton hotel properties. Stiff, began her hotel public relations career at The Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs and has opened two Starwood hotels and two Club Corporation of America private clubs. She has twice received the Colorado Hotel Lodging Association PR Person of the Year Award.
