The latest expansion has added 12,000 sf to its total at another building within the Mack-Cali Business Campus, the 215,000-sf 8 Campus Dr. The company had relocated from 5 Sylvan Way to a 20,000-sf space at 8 Campus Dr. just last year. Terms of the latest transaction were not disclosed.
Matt McDonough, senior vice president of the Trammell Crow Co., Florham Park, NJ, represented the Medicines Co. in the latest transaction, as he has for the original 2,000-sf lease and each lease amendment thereafter. He calls the latest upgrade "a reflection of the company's extraordinary growth."
The Medicines Co. develops products for hospital acute care, including Angiomax (bivalirudin), an anticoagulant for patients undergoing coronary angioplasty procedures. Besides its headquarters here, the company has facilities in Massachusetts, the UK and New Zealand.
