Rex Glendenning of Dallas, who plies his trade for investment groups, bought the southeast corner of County Line Road and FM 455 in Celina, where the asking price for land is $6,000 per acre. The Collin County land came to market in November, but like other nearby parcels didn't stay there long due to the high-demand for the dirt, Stephen Summers of Dallas-based Staubach Co. tells GlobeSt.com.
"I've definitely seen the market heat up recently," Summers says of the sale on behalf of a Dallas-based corporation with more land to hawk. "It's a piece of property in a path of growth." He says it might take 10 to 15 years for development to reach the land's edge, but it's headed that way. As a result, he adds, "people are more actively seeking dirt to buy.
