The fund will target both rural and urban opportunities. Initially, it plans to focus on properties in Colorado, but will later expand into other states.
Kemple says the company will focus on owners of medical properties that have a need to deploy capital from non-core assets, so they can focus on their mission of providing health care.
Or as Bruce Wilson, CommTerra's chief financial officer says, "CommTerra will execute long-term growth strategies in healthcare real estate needs by accessing the fundamentally strong medical office building market."
This will only be CommTerra's first round of financing. Multiple stages of funding are planned, depending on the location of buildings and suitable properties.
In addition to Golden, the company also has an office in Fort Collins, in northern Colorado.
