Last year, the Dallas-based KDC completed 1.3 million sf, valued at $133 million, in the US. The Dallas/Fort Worth projects were the 145,000-sf headquarters for Advance Neuromodulation Systems Inc. at Legacy in Plano, a 150,000-sf headquarters for Motheral Printing Co. and 400,000-sf operations center for Bank One at KDC's CentrePort development near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport; and 200,000-sf headquarters for Sally Beauty Co. in Denton. KDC recently won a Citigroup contract to build a trio of 170,000-sf call centers in the next seven months for Citi Cards' divisions in Louisville, KY, Greensboro, NC and Boise, ID.

Doug Johnson, NAIOP president, presented the award to Bill Guthrey, KDC's senior vice president, at an annual breakfast in the Westin Galleria. Speaking to the performance track record that won the honor, Guthrey said "first and foremost, we value our relationships with our clients and continually seek efficiency, creativity, flexibility and reliability as we provide them with real estate solutions." The selection criteria weighs quality of products and services, ability to adapt to market conditions, reputation and NAIOP involvement.
