Mitch Conlee of the Camarillo office of Daum reports that the new headquarters for Leading Industry Inc. will be built on an aggregate of nearly 11 acres of land at 1200 Pacific Ave. and 1300 Voyager Ave. within the master-planned Channel Islands center.
Conlee represented Leading Industry Inc. in the long-term leases, valued at $8.7 million, with Bob Flink and Bob Shafer of CB Richard Ellis representing PEGH Investments LLC, the property owner. Project developer Triliad Development of Thousand Oaks is scheduled to initiate work on the new project during the second quarter of this year, with a March 2005 occupancy slated.
The company is currently located at 900 Del Norte Blvd. Leading Industry Inc., which was established in 1981, provides customized solutions for food, medical and a variety of other retail products, including full tooling to manufacture the packaging. Its specialized products include thermoform packaging for electronic parts that guards against electrostatic discharge; bowls, trays, cups and other packaging for food; and antiseptic and tamper-proof packaging for medical products.
Leading Industry's new facilities will be built by the Thousand Oaks office of Whittier-based Oltmans Construction. The new headquarters for the packaging company will be a high-endconcrete tilt-up structure featuring 14,000 sf of office space, dock-high loading, and 24-ft minimum clear height. Poliquin Kellogg Design Group of Woodland Hills is the projectarchitect.
