Phoenix Packaging & Fulfillment obtains approximately $1.3 million to acquire the 81,226-sf building at 2811 Charter Rd. where it will print and distribute bulk mailings. Philadelphia Pre-Cooked Steak Inc., which makes pre-cooked beef and chicken sandwiches, obtains an $830,000-loan to acquire and renovate a 45,000-sf building at 4001 North American St.
DC Humphrey's Co. obtains a $380,000-loan for the acquisition of an 111,465-sf manufacturing facility at 1500 South 50th St. It makes industrial fabrics, including protective military covers and tarpaulins. The locally based economic development sponsor for all three Philadelphia County loans is the financing arm of Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp.
Further north in Bethlehem, PA, Lehigh Valley Industrial Corp. obtains nearly $1.8 million to acquire 968 acres in the Saucon tract, a brownfield Enterprise Zone within the former Bethlehem Steel property. LVIP will create Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII.
Furniture distributor John V. Schultz Co. obtains approximately $1.3 million to construct a 60,278-sf building on 5.6 acres in Fairview Business Park in Fairview, PA in Erie County. PIDA also grants Xodus Medical Inc. a $388,520-loan for construction of a 15,300-sf manufacturing facility in Westmoreland Business and Research Park in New Kensington, PA.
