"When looking at future store locations, we consider the area's current population, potential for future growth, degree to which area is currently served by supermarkets, the availability of land, accessibility by good roads and other infrastructure," Food Lion spokesman Jeff Lowrance, says of the company's decision to locate in the area. "Lisbon Center easily meets theses criteria." Food Lion will lease the store from MIE, which plans to begin building the space this month. Financial terms of Food Lion's agreement are not being publicized, but MIE's Jerry Wit tells GlobeSt.com that space at Lisbon Center generally leases for $13 to $15 per sf.
