GVA Williams of Connecticut vice president Tim Rorick and Josh Gopan represented Juliska Penshurst Trading Inc., which does business as Juliska. The company is a European glassmaker that also designs ceramics, flatware and other household goods. Heyman Properties, the building owner, was represented in-house by Nancy Greenberg. The lease deal brings the building to 100% leased.
Commenting on the transaction, Rorick says, "Canal Street is a perfect location for Juliska. The South End, which used to be a location for industrial businesses, is now a magnet for antiques dealers and other artistic trades. Juliska will add to the revitalization of this vibrant area."
Heyman Properties' Greenberg adds, "Juliska's high-end European glassware is a perfect complement to the many antiques and other home furnishings dealers that have turned this neighborhood into Connecticut's SoHo." Work has already begun on the Juliska showroom space with an opening anticipated sometime this summer.
