Brokers following the projects tell GlobeSt.com Ivey assembled its 218-acre development site from four property owners. The site is north of Cumming, GA, off GA 400 at Settingdown Road and Heard Circle, about four miles from the Dawson County line. The Georgia Mountains Regional Development Center is reviewing the project's plans because of its size. The plans then go to the Forsyth County planning commission for a second review.The Hayes Development Co. project will be reviewed this week by the Henry County municipal planning commission. The county's planning staff has already approved the undertaking, noting the 2.25 units-per-acre density compares with nearby subdivisions.Two major golf communities and the Atlanta Motor Speedway development are under construction near the Hayes site, brokers familiar with most of the south Henry County new developments tell GlobeSt.com.
