Taking the local spotlight in the 100,000-sf to 249,000-sf category was the Cash America Building at 1600 W. Seventh St. The Carter Burgess-designed building is owned by the Cash America Management LP and managed by J. Leo Kinney.

The government building honor went to the Tarrant County Courthouse at 100 W. Weatherford St. Designed by Gunn & Curtiss of Kansas City, KS, the courthouse is managed by Tommy Duncan and overseen by David Phillips, county facilities director.

The AmeriCredit campus at 4000 Embarcadero Dr. in Arlington won the low-rise, suburban office park category, also a design of Fort Worth's Carter Burgess. The property, owned by ACF Investment Corp., is managed by Renee Massey of HBM Management Inc.

If the local winners take top slots in Tulsa, they advance to the final stop in the annual competition: the BOMA International's Convention and Office Building Show set for June 29 in Toronto. BOMA Fort Worth's trophy list includes eight international winners.
