Locally based Colliers L&A exclusively represents the company in this region. Hollywood Tanning operates in more than 200 locations nationwide and has plans for an additional 200 units on the drawing board.

In an unrelated transaction, Colliers represented Hugh C. Pody in the sale of a 9,000 sf building in the Old City neighborhood that housed the former Chiamicello's restaurant and contains four second-story apartments. The building is located at North Second St. and Fairmount Ave. The buyer is identified as 632-634 LLC. The aggregate value of these two Philadelphia transactions is $1.4 million.

Meanwhile, Brea, CA-based Earle M. Jorgensen Co. leases 27,162 sf of office and industrial space on Cabot Blvd. in Langhorne, PA in Bucks County. EMJ is among the largest independent distributors of metal products in the country.

In neighboring Berks County, Robert and Mary Ann Kohler acquire a 32,140-sf, two-story industrial building at 105-115 North Washington St. in Douglassville. The Kohlers will relocate their specialty furniture upholstery business from East Greenville, PA. The seller is Bay Avenue Properties. Colliers represented the seller in this transaction and also represented EMJ in negotiating the Bucks County lease. The aggregate value of both suburban transactions approaches $1.3 million.
