Meiko American Inc., a shipper of business equipment for national accounts, intensively scoured the market for nearly three months before signing for the Coppell Business Center II at 1441 S. Beltline Road. The tenant's short list was down to a trio of buildings in Irving, DFW Airport and its hometown for eight years, Coppell, Jean Russo, senior director with Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc., tells GlobeSt.com. "The space was already finished out and it really fit what they were looking for," she says of the five-year-old, class A office/warehouse. The firm relocated from 1111 Executive Blvd. in the Park West Business Center.
Mark Miller and Rick Medinis with the Robert Lynn Co. in Dallas represented the owner of record, Rreef America REIT II, at the bargaining table for the last block of space in a 170,000-sf building with a quoted rate of $3.35 per sf net. The four-building Coppell Business Center, totaling 530,000 sf, is now 80% leased, Medinis says of a leasing assignment handed over two months ago to the Robert Lynn Co.
