ProLogis Parc Yokohama will be one of the flagships of the company's global port strategy. The class A, four-story, multi-tenant facility will have 1 million sf of distribution space, a flexible layout and two one-way spiral ramps to provide access to all levels, including the roof. Each floor will include truck berths and all floors and ceiling heights will exceed 18 feet. The facility will be in the Port of Yokohama, the second-largest port in Japan in terms of cargo volume. Yokohama is Japan's second-largest city. This marks the first ProLogis facility in the Yokohama submarket.
ProLogis Parc Narita II will be in Shibayama City, 40 milesnortheast of Tokyo in the Chiba Prefecture. It will be a two-story,multi-tenant facility with 224,408 sf of distribution space. The facility includes a ramp that allows for truck access to both floors. ProLogis Parc Narita II will be the second distribution facility for ProLogis in the Narita submarket, following ProLogis Parc Narita, which was completed in September. Parc Narita II will be 2.2 miles from the Narita Airport.
With the two facilities, ProLogis will own, manage or have under development 5.8 million sf of industrial space in Japan.
