Adjusted gross proceeds is the amount wagered by bettors less payouts from casinos.
Black Hawk's 22 casinos totaled $45.4 million in AGP in March, up from nearly $42.4 million in February and $40.8 million in March of last year. Cripple Creek's 18 casinos generated $12 million in AGP in March, compared with $10.8 million in February and $1.9 million in March 2003. Central City's four casinos produced $4.4 million in AGP in March, up from $4.1 million in February and $4.2 million in March 2003.
Last month, Black Hawk casinos accounted for 73.4% of the statewide market. Cripple Creek gaming establishments accounted for 19.5% and Central City accounted for 7.2%.
Colorado casinos paid $10.4 million in gaming tax proceeds in March, compared with $9.5 million in February.
