The partnerships went to Jim Brice in Dallas and Edward Bane in Houston. "These two guys have been a vital part in the growth of our company and it's time for them to share in the growth of the business," Holt Lunsford, founder of the Dallas-based firm, tells GlobeSt.com. He says the promotion carries a partnership interest in the operating company and future deals that the investment company secures.
Brice, a 10-year employee, is in charge of leasing duties for 16 million sf of industrial properties in Dallas/Fort Worth. Bane, marking his seventh year with the firm, oversees leasing and management for 4.5 million sf of office and industrial product in his region.
Lunsford says the partnerships will be extended to others in the future as the "young guns" advance through the firm's training program and prove their mettle on the streets. He says it's an attainable goal in "a three- to five-year period." The partnership ranking will be based on production and the firm's value system.
"Ed and Jim have set the watermark for the group," Lunsford says. "They have been consistent year in, year out as top producers."
The new partners were two of the full-service firm's five managing principals. The 52-employee Holt Cos. has a 30-million-sf portfolio of industrial and office product.
