North American expects to have at least 10 national big-box retailers and several restaurants as tenants when the shopping center opens in March 2005, according to company officials. Tenants already committed for space include a SuperTarget, Circuit City, Linens 'n Things, Marshalls, Petco, Dress Barn and Cost Plus World.

The 62-acre site is just southeast of Simon Properties' 10-year-old, 1.2-million-sf Seminole Towne Center and near the Rinehart Road and Central Florida GreeneWay extension intersection.

Established in 1954, North American Properties has developed 13 million sf of retail in 12 states. The Sanford project is the company's first major undertaking in Central Florida.
