Zinsser vacated the building for larger quarters at 173 Belmont Dr., also in this Somerset County community. The company, which makes and distributes primer-sealers, shellac and other coatings and specialty decorating products, has its headquarters and main manufacturing operations based locally.
Tom Kirczow and Bob Sticht of Grubb & Ellis' Fairfield, NJ office handled the transaction for Zinsser. The buyer, 323 Campus Drive LLC, was represented by Richard J. Gelmetti, president of International Realty Group, Metuchen, NJ.
The buyer will utilize its newly acquired asset for the distribution of wire cabling products, according to Grubb & Ellis. The building, which has 16- to 18-ft ceiling heights, two drive-in and seven tailgates, also features 9,000 sf of built-out office space.
