Anixter Inc., a Fortune 500 company based in Glenview, IL, will move the distribution and sales center to 301 E. Stephens St. in Arlington from 3017 Red Hawk Drive in nearby Grand Prairie. The catch fills a 32,341-sf office/warehouse, one of seven in the park owned by Principal Real Estate Investors of Des Moines.
J. Cannon Green with Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co. says an extensive build-out is underway on 1,700 sf of the second-generation space to take the office area to 6,400 sf to drive a June 1 move-in. He tells GlobeSt.com that the deal was quickly completed once the specialty wire fastener division, Anixter Pentacon, landed an aerospace contract that required immediate extra room to fulfill the deal. The second-generation space was on the market for $3.50 per sf.Green brokered terms for Principal while Bob Luttrell of Jackson & Cooksey in Dallas represented Anixter.
