Some of his high-profile projects have included two Hard Rock Casino Hotels, one in Hollywood, CA and the other in Tampa, FL as well as the Ocean Journey Aquarium in Denver.

The other architect hired by NCD is Rich Sidoroff, a 22-year veteran of design. His recent projects include working on the Wellington Webb Municipal Office building, the Hyatt convention center hotel under construction and Colorado Center Office Tower III.

NCD is currently working on a new office building at Colfax and Broadway for the Rocky Mountain News, the Denver Post and the Denver Newspaper Agency. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall on the building, which would open by Labor Day 2006.

It also is working on projects for Sage Hospitality Resources, Cimarex Energy Co. and Donor Alliance.

Although a new firm, the principals have more than 75 years of combined architectural and design experience and together have been responsible for more than $4 billion in projects.

With the most recent hires, the firm has six architects with licenses in 15 states and 23 employees.

Both Schultz and Sidoroff are associate principals at the firm.
