Branchburg III will boost on-campus space to 207,000 sf, on the way to a projected build-out of 800,000 sf, according to Murray Construction senior vice president Jeffrey Siegel. The 58,000-sf Branchburg I has been the headquarters for Lifecell Corp., a bioengineering firm, since 1998; and the 82,000-sf Branchburg II became the home of the Roche Molecular Systems division of Hoffmann-LaRoche last year.

For Branchburg III, Murray Construction is targeting office, office/warehouse, lab and/or high-tech uses, according to Siegel. Designed by architect James Weill & Associates of Millburn, NJ, the building will have 28-foot clear height ceilings, and may be divided.

"This is a highly marketable site for biotech and pharmaceutical companies," says Siegel. "Many Fortune500 firms have chosen this area for their corporate headquarters, satellite offices, labs and/or warehouses." Other corporate neighbors in the region include Ortho Pharmaceutical, Merck, MetLife, Fisher Scientific and Johnson & Johnson.
