The complex, which is expected to draw from a market encompassing Passaic County, northern Bergen County and adjacent areas of Upstate New York, is being built campus-style around the existing Sheraton Crossroads Hotel, a 228-key facility, and the Crossroads Corporate Center. The cost of developing the center has not been announced.
Of the total space, some 400,000 sf will be occupied by the center's anchor tenants, including Home Depot, Wal-Mart, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. Total parking capacity will be in the 3,400-car range.
Located at the interchange of I-287 and Route 17, the center will have a draw of about 150,000 people within a five-mile radius, according to Garden Commercial Properties' studies.
